At Beach Recovery, we believe the best way to solve a problem is to ask the right questions. We started our quest to mitigate the growing coastal erosion problem with the question of how we could harness nature’s own restorative power to repair the coastline rather than looking towards traditional artificial or hard solutions. From our initial discoveries, we identified creative solutions to not only bring back the sand but also to rebuild the environment and enhance the community for everyone to enjoy once again.
Our unique proprietary Beach Recovery System™ (BRS) works with nature’s power to mitigate the effects of storm energy and prevent wave action from further eroding the shore. By breaking the erosion cycle, beaches begin to grow again. Some sites documenting 25 years worth of erosion were completely repaired in 18 months once a BRS was installed and have continued to build new beachfront year after year.
Long term monitoring of sites has demonstrated that beaches are restored quickly and continue to grow indefinitely, without expensive periodic replenishment programs.
